The CopperString 2032 project entails the construction of a new electricity transmission line spanning from just south of Townsville in the Burdekin region to Mount Isa. This transmission line will serve to connect Queensland’s North West Minerals Province to the National Electricity Market.
IAG provided commercial management subject matter experts to support the early works stage of the project. Our commercial management SMEs brought valuable expertise to the early works phase of the project, assisting in the development of commercial and contractual templates, as well as providing strategic commercial advisory services on the delivery model.

IAG also provided project management services coordination and preparation of a full suite of project management plans covering management plans, reports, risk management, HSE registers, schedule and EIS compliance. We also developed workflows to assist with project process including internal document review for project governance process in preparation of delivery.
IAG’s commercial management SMEs brought valuable expertise to the early works phase of the project, assisting in the development of commercial and contractual templates. We also provided strategic commercial advisory services on the delivery model, including a detailed review of the commercial model proposed within an Incentivised Target Cost framework. Our review considered how to implement value for money drivers across cost and non-cost performance metrics, time performance incentivisation and contract risk allocation.
