Communications and Stakeholder Engagement Services
IAG was engaged by Major Projects Canberra to provide Communications and Stakeholder Engagement Services on the Light Rail to Woden project. The role included preparing documents and presentations for public engagement as part of the project’s statutory Environmental Assessment and Works Approval public display processes, as well as coordinating activities for the project’s Community Reference Group.
IAG personnel prepared large scale surveys, coordinated data capture methods and analysed results as part of required statutory engagement activities for the project’s Environmental Assessment and Works Approval processes. We coordinated and attended numerous public information sessions, including Community Reference Group meetings, town hall meetings and pop-up engagement events. These activities included facilitation at workshops with focus groups. IAG personnel also regularly analysed and reported on stakeholder feedback, public submissions and community consultation outcomes as part of its day-to-day duties and participation in major statutory engagement processes. This included refining engagement data entry methods and developing organisational policies to escalate feedback, complaints and compliments.
Environmental Assessment
IAG assisted in collating the project’s statutory Environmental Assessment, including drafting of key chapters, sub-editing and review. This included preparing documents and presentations for public engagement. IAG personnel authored the Communications and Engagement Technical Appendix which involved collating engagement results over the entire duration of the project and developing a report that succinctly and objectively presented the key themes of engagement and how they shaped project outcomes in design and delivery.
